Catch Me If You Can

A week and a half ago, I was deeply sucking in country air through my nostrils and dreaming of singing aloud my happiness.

I was blissfully alone. Just me, the cow manure and the flies.

I could hear the birds. The grass moving in the wind. The tree leaves swaying. The happy giggling crickets.

Giggling crickets?

Well. A giggling cricket. One who tried to sneak up on me while I dreamed of leaping over cow pats.

My evidence may be on the blurring side of town…

But I definitely caught this chuckling cricket on film.

They say a picture says a thousand words.

Sometimes the blurry, on-the-spot ones tell even more.
