Country Life

A Drive Home

For the next two weeks I’m a house-sitting tradie. Just what I need. A change of scene, some fresh country air, a big flat screen TV.

Hmm. I tried using that flat screen TV last night. The digit screen kept flickering and freezing.

This is why I read books.

Exif_JPEG_PICTUREAnyhoo. While I was driving out to my temporary house in the country, I stopped to drink in the view.Exif_JPEG_PICTURE

Because it just so happens, that my temporary house is just down the road from my childhood one, which is still occupied by my parents and the three siblings who haven’t flown the nest yet.

So really. I’ve come home home.

Did I mention I love it out here?

Exif_JPEG_PICTUREI love it out here.

Exif_JPEG_PICTURE

What’s not to love? Paddocks of cows and fields of grass and miles of blue skies and whizzing along dirt roads…

Getting dust everywhere…

Being a kid and writing on your car window.

Exif_JPEG_PICTUREThen there’s the road side wild life.

Exif_JPEG_PICTUREAnd check this one out. If I hadn’t of stopped to drink in the view, you would have been deprived of the sight of a lady bug in a thistle for the rest of your life!

Aren’t you glad you have me around?
